CloudFlower
CloudFlower is a public art project for the City of Markham located in the Cornell Community Center.
It consists of 2 murals, each 2.3m x 5m. A size as oil on mylar painting was made then cut into squares and sandwiched between 2 pieces of glass. These glass tiles were then mounted on panels and installed on the wall.
The painting on the lower level is located across from the pool area. This mural features a bright active landscape with rivers and waterfalls that responds to the aquatic activities in the pool area.
The upper level mural consists of a shoreline with 2 trees and flowers that bracket large clouds with wisps of rain falling over a lake. This calming scene is located adjacent to the meditation and meeting rooms.
